Life.

Long time no update, as always.
This is just a teeny tiny post to tell you guys what's up at the moment.
Today I received my first report card, it was rather good! After that I got to go home, and my christmas break officially started.
All I have been doing is talking to friends, drooling over gorgeous clothes I can't afford and listening to music, and I'm loving it!
Now I've decided to do something 'useful', which means that I'm clearing out the bookmarks I've made on the internet through time. Ought to be intresting.
So yeah, that's what is going on.
Hope you guys are doing as good as I am, and hopefully I won't be too lazy to actually put up a decent post sometimes soon!

Happy Halloween!

Bit late, I know, but yesterday I completely forgot to upload a picture of my halloween nails...
Forgive me? =)
Anyway, here it is:

Frankenstein nails! I thought it was rather creative, as I'd usually just paint my nails orange or something similar. Going to keep these nails until friday, then there is some sort of fright night close to where I live, and after that the brainbreaker 'birthday nails' is coming up... Yes people, the ninth of November, it'll be my sweet sixteen! Looking forward to it already =) Ideas for birthday nails are very welcome, in case anyone even reads this. I sure hope so!
Now it's time to do something useful.
Haha, who am I kidding, I'm just going to procrastinate and celebrate autumnbreak ^.^

I've been shopping....

.... and I came home without any money, but with everything I needed to have!

I now have a new pair of boots, jeans, sunglasses, sweater-ish thing, AND a superawesome macdonalds balloon. We didn't eat anything there though, one of my friends just went in to get a cup of coffee and a donut, and then I saw the balloons and yeah... Let's just say that on our way home we got several stares because of our awesome balloon fights.
The sweater was a gift by the way! An early birthdaygift, given to me by someone I have known for not even two weeks, how amazing is that? So happy with it ^.^

Now that I look at it, I bought LOTS of black stuff!
Explanation: black boots go with everything, didn't have black jeans yet and again, those go with everything, needed sunglasses which usually are black, and the sweater thing just was a coincidence. Pretty sure that's spelled wrong. Whatever.

Okaaay, that was it. Going to try and do something useful now, been trying to do that for the past couple of days, not my strongest point so wish me luck!

Go Eva!

I actually did something good.
I started cleaning out my laptop. Keyword being started of course!
But I started, and thát is the important part.
It's way faster now (ok, at least a little bit), and I don't have the problem of doubleposting pictures on here, because I removed every single one of them from my laptop and put them on dvd, so I don't have them clogging my laptop's speed. Smart huh? ^.^

So here are two new pics. My nailpolish at the moment: 36 Enchanted Fairy by Essence.
It's an adorable color on my relatively short nails. They are short because this week I'm helping out in a kindengarten-school-thingy.
You see, my school has this thing that you go and stay a week at a working facility in which you are interested. Some people from my class are working in a tattooshop, others in a flowershop, another one is doing something concerning trucks etc. This way you can see if you'd like to do a similar job later on in your life.
I wasn't really interested in working with kids, but those Swedish kids are só adorable! I honestly had fun today, and will probably have a lot more fun this week. The reason I got this 'job' (for which I don't get paid, just to be clear here) is because I couldn't find anything myself, so my teacher got me this job...

I'm trailing off. Short nails. Yes. I have them, because I was afraid that I might injure the little kids I work with and that they'd whine and that their parents would take me into court for child mutilation. Or something like that. Yeah.

Okay that's it, again. Hope you have a great day!

I need help.

No, I don't have any huge problems with drugs or anything like that, but still this problem may ruin my life. Dramatically stated, that is.
Let me explain: while typing this post, I just finished looking random stuff up on youtube, am tweeting (follow me if you want: eva_lazar), checking facebook every few seconds, am texting, and most of all, I'm dreading Friday.
Not just the song, even though that is rather dreadable, but because I have a test.
And I am supposed to be studying for it right now.
But I'm not.
Because I'm a procrastinator.

In Holland this wasn't such a big deal, I would wait untill the night before, and then cram really hard, but here in Sweden that simply is not an option: Every single thing here is in Swedish, so apart from actually understanding the stuff I have to study, I also have to translate every word I don't understand (which are a LOT, trust me!), remember these words, figure out how to make a summary I can understand, and THEN study the material.
I started this schoolyear really well, doing everything perfectly, and the motivation is still there, but I just can't seem to get myself to work!

That's why I need help. Anyone who can give me the golden tip on how to study could be my saviour because I'm really scared that I won't make it through this year.

Just needed to share this, like most things on this blog, and now I'm going to blankly stare at a list of words I have to know. Wish me luck.
Oh, and listen to this song, it's one of the only songs I can listen to while studying without getting all caught up in the music: Liar Liar - Christina Grimmie

I am weird, I know, but...

I really, really don't like it.
I don't like it when people call me perfect, amazing, awesome, or even kind, funny, smart or pretty. It's not that I can't take a compliment, I just smile, say 'thanks, you too!' or 'thanks!', depending on who gives the compliment and how I feel.
The thing that annoys me, is that I don't feel like these things fit me.
Perfect? I am far, fár from perfect. If someone calls me this, I have the feeling that with every 'un-perfect' thing I do, I let them down...
How I come to this?
Let me tell you.
Since a short while, I have a boyfriend. Yup, that's right, me, the undatable girl finally has found her first boyfriend!
But anyway. He is just the sweetest thing, and he calls me all the things mentioned above. Also, there are several others who apparently think I'm worthy of these words.
But honestly, I just think people use these words too easily: A perfect person doesn't have bad hair days, doesn't breathe heavily after going up a couple of stairs, is capable of talking Swedish fluently after half a year in the country....
And does a pretty girl have a huge nose, or does a kind person secretly dislike people? I don't know, it just annoys me....

When you read this you will probably either think: ok this is a really random text which doesn't make any sense, or: be glad that people tell you these things, and believe me, I am, but as I said, I just feel that people over-use these words, making them rather insincere in the end.

The other way around as well though: 'Oh, I HATE little kids!' 'I hate water, it doesn't taste like anything!' 'I hate my parents sometimes.'
I can't stand those kind of things: Hate is a strong word, it means you will never EVER like whatever it is you 'hate', no exception. At least, that's what hate is in my opinion. That's why I usually use the word dislike or something similar.

That was my rant on how the wordchoice of certain people annoys me, hope you feel the same way or at least understand how I'm feeling, and if not that's cool too, everyone has their own opinion right? =)

Here is a song which is rather fitting to the theme, to make this post worth posting haha:
Hate (I Really Don't Like You) - Plain White T's

Ok bye now!

Puppies (part 2)

We've had our puppies for a while now, and they are só cute!
Just one mistake I made: the dark one is Gaia, the light one is Asso. Whoops.
Well, here are pictures, they pretty much tell the story!
Most pictures are of the first few days, because several days ago my ipod kind of died, and since I don't have a normal camera, I wasn't really able to take more pictures..

:)
The cuteness.
The only thing making them less cute, is when they fight. My parents tell me that it's just to become stronger and all that, but I very much dislike it.

The reason I didn't post all this before, is that I lost my google password and was too lazy to recover it. Also, my friend Kadya is here since the 26th of July, so I was out and about doing fun things with her.

You know, I'm really happy about something and I just NEED to tell: Today we are probably going to get my paint and wallpaper! I've been longing to paint my room (aka having my room painted) since the day I first walked in! Now I'm finally getting what I want: turquoise paint for the small details in my room, like the... what's it called... that thing what's around the glass of your window? The frame or something?
Anyway, that's going to be turquoise, and I am probably going to get either champagne or crème wallpaper.
Sounds expensive huh?
So yesterday we went and took everything I own (well, pretty much everything that is) out of my room, and now it is very empty..

After the painting, my parents will probably allow me to have the chair and closet that they promised me: this is The Closet, and I'd show you the chair as well, but it's unfindable. But I'm going to get them!
Oh, life is good right now.

Puppies!

Hey!
I'm soooo exited right now! I actually wanted to tell you yesterday, but I didn't have time, so I'll just tell you now... We are going to get PUPPIES!!!!
Two German Spitz puppies, to be exact. We saw some adverstising in a shop closeby, so we called the phonenumber on the announcement to see if there were any puppies left, there were, and that same day we drove to the people selling them. From the moment we walked in, I knew I wanted to have all of them! There were about 6 puppies in a kind of wooden box, and mummydog was keeping a close eye on us while we cuddled with her babies. They were all só cute! I immediately fell in love with the smallest, dark brown guy, but unfortunatly he was already sold... Seeing how we were looking for two dogs, we decided to take the only other darkbrown one, and one of his siblings with whom he was playfighting. The darkbrown one is a boy, we named it Asso (well, its name already was Asso, and we liked it so we kept that name), and the lighter one is a girl, and her name now is Gaia.
On Saturday they will be brought to our home, because first they need to get a chip with all of their info in their neck, and several vaccinations.
I am superexited and really can't wait for them to come! I've never had any pets before (unless my little brother counts), and now, two of the cutest fluffballs? Life is good.
They are both 7 weeks now by the way.
I tried to take pictures, which was very hard due to the bad light and all that, but this is what I got:
This is Asso, adorable or what? <3

So, the dark one is Asso, the one next to him is Gaia.
Cute  huh?
Just a few days left before they finally are delivered, and then forever part of our family!
Can't wait.
I'll post pictures ASAP!

Just to fill you in.

Long time no post!
Funny how almost every post starts with a sentence similar to the one above...
I thought it might be nice to tell you guys what's going on in my life right now.

Of course, I am loving the fact that I have vacation, no school to worry about for at least another month! And, now that I have nothing else to do, just like the rest of my family, my grandfather has decided to come over from Holland for about a month! He is leaving the 26th, so just a few days left, but we had fun while he was here.
For example, we went to one of the many woods close to my house, and we have picked a crapload of blueberries, almost 2 kilos! And you have to understand that we went there at least thrice, so a blueberry overdose was inevitable. ^^
We also went to several operas, this is not a thing I normally do, but this one is and exception: The Ring by Wagner. I have now seen all four parts, ranging from 2.5 to almost 4 hours each, and it was amazing. The show, the music, the storyline... Loved it! As you may or may not know, my dad is a musician, so that is the reason why I'm more involved in classical music than the average teenager.
Something else I've done, is visit a bakery 'contest'. It wasn't really a contest, more like a huge table of all kinds of cookies and cakes, and you could taste them all and decide for yourself which ones you liked best. Impossible to explain, luckily I took some pictures!

Omnomnomnomnom.

Well, that were the major events of the past month I believe. I hope you're enjoying summer break as much as I do! I'd really like it if you'd comment to tell me what you have done (or what you're planning to do) this summer. Also, random comments, critical comments, or request comments (on what kind of post you'd like to see) are very welcome. Oh who am I kidding, any comment at all will do! Getting desperate here ;-)
Thanks for reading, and have a lovely day!

Want to have a good laugh?

Then check out this website!

click
My friend showed me this and I have had so much fun with it the past fifteen minutes or so!
Basically it shows how bad the quality of online translation is, by translating a piece of text up till 56 times from English to a random language and back. Here's an example:

Original text:
"Hey *my friends name*, thanks for showing me this website!"
...56 translations later we get:
"* The story of my friends from the Internet."

Well. I must admit that this one is one of the weaker ones, but you get the idea! So hopefully you guys enjoy that website as much as I do, now if you'll excuse me, I have useless translations to make.

Original text:
"xx Eva"
...56 translations later we get:
"Eva century."

The Choice..

... Tee hee ^^ Just thought a dramatic title would be fun =)
Sorry that it took me so long to make this article, but believe it or not, I have been busy! A concert, polishing my nails, being lazy, spending quality time with my family...
But here it is anyway. Making the decision took ages! I believe that about an hour after I posted the article, I finally decided on what to do. Not on my own of course, I had to ask about 8 people what they thought I should do before starting! And, as always, just after I put on my topcoat, I had to go have dinner. At the dinner table, I destroyed my nails (clumsy as always), so I had to start again. After I painted my nails for the second time, I was happy that everything had gone right. Untill my nailpolish decided to become bubbly because of the hot weather. Take three, and everything went perfect. Finally.
And here I am now, writing this post - while contemplating which color to put on my nails now - , but of course, you're here for the picture! So here you go:

Catrice C01 Pastel Yellow from the Pastel Delight collection with black flowers in fauxnad nailart =)
Nothing too special really, yet I got a compliment from my fathers' colleague so yeah I was happy enough ^^

And here are two bonus pictures of the polish I wore before this one, because otherwise this post would be kind of suckish I guess:

Manhattan Crazy Colours (limited edition)
As you can see it is a lovely holographic polish! Too bad it isn't opaque that quick, I have used about three or maybe four coats here, so next time I'll just use a dark purple base color underneath, to make sure the color is even and the nail itself doesn't show, if you know what I mean.
Right now I'm wearing yet another color, L'oreal Resist & Shine 118, I believe I've written a piece about that one before, and yesterday I put a coat of golden glitters on my thumbs and annulary, just for an extra effect ^^
The nail polish stories, chapter I don't know, has hereby come to an end. Hope you enjoyed it!

Choices choices.

Today I heard that a few of my fathers colleagues are coming over, first for work and then they'll stay with us for dinner. Then I thought, what if those people have children my age, who go to my school, or with who I will have any contact at all! That's my 'logic' again, but anyway. Of course I want to make a good first impression, and that includes cute nailpolish. Always pay attention to details right?

So, I was thinking of what I could do, and right now I have so many options that I am clueless. Here is what I'm thinking about:
- about 4 flashy colors on each nail, with black shatter on top of it
- the same as above, but then with elegant colors
- black 'nailart' on top of hot pink nailpolish
- 5 different pastel colors with nailart on it
- just one color, no fuss
- gradient nails, in pink, or purple, or red, or green and yellow, or black...

As you can see, there are just waaaaay too many things I can choose from and it's driving me crazy!
But if (IF..) I have decided in time, I will make sure that I put some pictures up :)

Random =)

Hey!

I really wanted to post something today, but I had no idea what! So here are a few random things, I'm making subjects up while typing (which is a just a random fact ^^).

First... Hmm... What about a few random websites?
Ok here we go:
- My Life Is Average
- Dear Blank Please Blank
- Gives Me Hope

And several random youtubers?
Here they are:
- Shane Dawson
- Kurt Hugo Schneider
- The Computer Nerd 01

Now, of course, a some random songs
- Estrella - Despistaos
Brielle - Sky Sailing
- Dancing on my Own (Acoustic) - Chris Salvatore (Robyn cover)

Well, that's everything I can think of right now! Hope you enjoyed it =)

Short post

So, actually I wanted to post this in the previous post, but I figured that that one was long enough, so a new post. Here is what I wore on my nails before the marble nails!

Catrice Pastel Delight: C02 Pastel Blue
I really like this polish, it covers perfectly after two layers, dries rather quickly and the color makes my nails seem longer, which I really like now that they are short. Also, it's very cheap, just a few euro's! Unfortunately it was limited edition, but probably it is still sold on ebay.
Just wanted to show off this color, so this is the end of this post ;-)

Marble Nails Walkthrough

So.. I know I'm not an expert on marble nails yet (a.k.a. I've tried in twice in total now) but I just thought it would be fun to try and make a kind of walkthrough/tutorial. This is the first time I've ever done something like this, so bear with me ok?  Before we begin, my nails look horrible, rather short and.. just ugly, so just ignore that ok? Thanks ;-)

Let's begin! Here's a list of items you will need before you can start.
- nail polish remover
- a small, preferably wide bowl, which will become dirty, so make sure you have a cup you can use for only nailpolish
- toothpicks
- water, for in the cup, which I forgot to mention earlier, but I'm too lazy to change that now :)
- the three colors nailpolish you want to use
- tape (I will explain later on)
- cotton pads / q tips, preferably both
- basecoat and topcoat, those are optional but the endresult will be better
- paper towels (LOTS of them)

In this tutorial I will use:
- Hema Basecoat 01
- Paris Memories 260
- Essence 26 Break Through
- Essence 36 Enchanted Fairy
- Kruidvat Topcoat

Ok, once you have all this, here we go!
Remove your old nailpolish, and even if you didn't wear any polish before you started, it might be better to sweep a little bit of nailpolish remover over your nails, so the natural oil layer the nails have will be removed, thus making sure the polish will stay on your nails longer and it won't chip so fast.

Then apply basecoat and let it dry.
Next, apply the basecolor (on which you are going to do the nailart). Not everyone does this, but I like to do this because in that case if I miss a spot on the nail, it isn't just 'naked' but there's a color underneath.
Let this dry as well. When that is done, you have to use the tape. take a piece that's big enough to surround the upper part of your finger. This will protect it for getting nailpolish all over it.
Now the fun begins! Take your bowl of water, and put a drop of nailpolish in the water, from not too high or it will sink. When done right, the nailpolish will spread over the watersurface. Then put in a drop of the other nailpolish. Alternate with these colors untill you have some sort of a 'bullseye'.
Now take your toothpick and draw a like from the edge of the bullseye inwards, to create a flower effect (that's how I like to do it at least, but you can draw many different patterns once you have practiced some more, or of course just leave it the way is is).
Now, dip your nail carefully into this flower. Choose a point you like, and make sure your whole nail touches it. No problem if your nail goes into the water, that's normal.
After this, use a toothpick to remove the remaining nailpolish from the watersurface. You have to do this after every one or two nails, because the effect will become lighter and sheerer if you keep using one 'bullseye' for more than one nail.
This is what you have on your nail if everything went right:
Remove the tape and the nailpolish that is not on your nails from your finger, and repeat this whole process for all of your nails. Then let it dry, and apply topcoat
This is the effect once you are done:
right hand

left hand
And that's how it's done! It takes some practice, this is my second time and as you can see, there is a lot of room for improvement, but now you at least have an idea of how it could look.
I might post another nail tutorial sometime, because I recently got an idea, but I first have to see if it works.
Vague, I know, but that's because I haven't worked out the thought yet, but I wanted to promise you guys another post, so you would come back to visit my blog haha ^^

And if you don't succeed the first time.. just Start Again - Sam Tsui!  Love that song ;-)

woensdag 15 juni 2011

Here's a huge post to make up for my absence!

Sorrysorrysorrysorrysorry. And if that's not enough, here's a superadorable kitten to cheer you up:
If that doesn't make you go: 'aww!', I don't know what will.

First things first: I have decided to give up The Challenge. Not because I don't want to do it anymore, but because I have decided to start saving for something else, and somehow I found the motivation to do that without any problems, so yay for me! :D
Ahem.
I know that I haven't posted in a very long time. What I have kept doing however, is making pictures of my nails! So here is a crapload of pictures! I'm honestly not sure that all of them are new, but at least most of them are :)

As you can see on the last picture, I cut my nails! Shocking! They are very short now, and I'm not used to it, but they'll be long again in no-time :)
And here, as a bonus picture, the 'easter nail-art' I did on my sister's nails. Apparently it is very hard to polish someone elses nails when you are having a laughing fit....
... See what I mean? Yeah, thought so.

Well that's all I'm going to post about nails for today. I guess. Except for if I get bored and decide to polish my nails again.

Ok, next up: music!
Recently I re-discovered a few songs, and I just. Can't. Stop. Listening! The ultimate summer songs I call them! There are two of those songs I am absolutely in love with!
First Stuck Like Glue - Sugarland
That song just really makes me happy :)
The other song I adore is Danza Kuduro - Don Omar ft. Lucenzo
Doesn't that just put you in the mood for summer and sun and beach and icecream? It really makes me want to dance, and I am a horrible dancer, so I hope this song never comes on when I'm out in public, because I might have a problem then..

Well that's all I think! I hope you all accept my apology, and if not... yeah... I don't know... Just accept it ok? Thanks ;)

And there is one last thing I'd like to conclude this post with...
The Lazy Song (Parody), The Mustache Rap, Mario and Luigi Search for the Princess
These are several of the videos made by thecomputernerd01, and these were the first three I have seen of his channel. Needless to say, I subscribed.

Oh, and I know I said: to conclude this post, but there's one final vid I want to share with you guys: Daarvoor Ben Je Mijn Vriend - Bert & Ernie
For all you Dutch readers out there, hope this cheers you up, for me it sure did! I was talking about this to a friend, she didn't know what I was talking about, I found this vid on youtube, showed her, and then I thought, hey, maybe the awesome people reading this blog will like it too! So yeah. That's pretty much why.
Ok bye now!

It's spring, finally!

Maybe this post is a little late, as spring officially started yesterday already, but it was just today that I found that being outside isn't that bad! Well, if you know you can go inside anytime you want that is, but that's not important.
What ís important, is that it is spring!!! I love summertime, and spring is a great start, especially if you just 'enjoyed' a winter with -21 degrees celcius outside..
Imagine my joy when I saw the snow was melting!
When I was at school today, and we had a break, my friends and I immediately went outside. Usually we just go to the cafeteria and talk or play poker or something like that, but the weather was só good that we just stayed outside, talking, running around the schoolyard without any reason (and when I run, there usually has to be a VERY good reason), and just enjoying spring. Though it isn't really warm yet, it is só good to feel the sun on your skin, while already thinking ahead of even better times, where the snow is totally gone and where the sky is blue and where the birds sing...
Honestly, everything in life seems so much better when she sun shines bright and warm!
It's just too bad that it takes a while for the winter to completely change into summer, how awesome would it be if we would wake up tomorrow to 25 degrees celcius, just to get up and change into shorts and a cute tshirt, and then enjoy whatever the day brings, as it doesn't really matter, as life's great as it is!
Oh well, I'll just have to be patient I guess..

The Challenge

Hi!
Here is the first real update on The Challenge!
Remember the system?
This product is gone.
This product I used this month.
This product I didn't use this month.

~ Sweetie Pie Showerjelly tester (Lush)
~ Pink Grapefruit Showergel (The BodyShop)
~  Sprite Lipbalm (LipSmackers)
~ The Tonic tester (La Mer)
~ Karma Komba Shampoo (Lush)
~ Pure Honey Bodylotion (De Tuinen)
~ Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eyepencil (Bourjois)
~ Intense Repair Shampoo mini (Dove)
~ *unknown* Showergel (Dove)
~ Lipbalm (Nivea)

... Not too good, now is it...
Well, at least it's a start, and besides, I need time to save money for the lipbalm!

To make this post a little more intreseting, here's what my nails look like right now:

The nailpolishes I used are ( in this order on my nails )

Base coat (Hema)
C02 Pastel Blue (Catrice, Pastel Delight Collection)
Black Shatter (O.P.I. , Katy Perry Collection)
49 Sheer Pearls (CoverGirl)
Top coat (Kruidvat)

I absolutely love this nail'look', as it is very different from what I usually wear and also you can use the Black Shatter on every color you like, but the effect is different each time, as you can see when you compare the picture above to this picture:

See?

Another style I wore 2 weeks ago, it looked like this:

My first take on Marble Nails! Not bad huh?
I thought it fitted the whole valentine theme well ^^

That's it for now, due to the limited internet we have, I can only use it when absolutely needed, and this is a kind of... well... forbidden thing, seeing how it has nothing to do with school and stuff like that, but whatever =)

Music!

That's a while ago isn't it, that I put some of my music here?
Probably most of you don't even like my music, but that doesn't matter ^^

The first song for now is...
Just a dream - Nelly cover by Sam Tsui + Christina Grimmie
This song is just perfection! It is so beautiful, much better than the original version by Nelly, and their voices are soo good! Love it.

Next up is...
Tu Angelito - Chino y Nacho
It's really good =) that's all I can say.

And last, but definetely not least....
Sin un adios - Lu
I've listened to this song over and over again for the past couple of days!

And now a bonus, which will make you laugh your.... something... off, a competition between two friends, each time taking a song and playing it on the weirdest instruments, and here is how it all began...

Hope you like it,

xx Eva

3 2 gone.

Hi!
I did it! I finished my 3 2 go challenge and I'm not going to try again, because it became rather boring after a while, to keep using the same products over and over again.
So, I got myself a new challenge. This one will take more time. It is my take on Project 10 pan!
Officially this challenge was meant for make-up, and you were meant to use 10 products untill they were totally empty, before you could buy something new.
Because I won't do this challenge with make-up but with showergels and stuff like that, I am going to call it The Challenge. WOOW!!! You didn't see that coming right? =)
So, what I am planning to do, is to select 10 products, doesn't matter what kind, as long as it is used on your  body or face, and when I finish all of them, I will buy myself the La Mer lipbalm, costing €50,-.
So, the products I am going to use up are:

~ Sweetie Pie Showerjelly tester (Lush)
~ Pink Grapefruit Showergel (The BodyShop)
~  Sprite Lipbalm (LipSmackers)
~ The Tonic tester (La Mer)
~ Karma Komba Shampoo (Lush
~ Pure Honey Bodylotion (De Tuinen)
~ Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eyepencil (Bourjois)
~ Intensive Repair Shampoo mini (Dove)
~ *unknown* Showergel (Dove)
~ Lipbalm (Nivea)

Wow. It was harder than I thought it would be to come up with those products!
Oh well, I came up with them ^^
Soo... I guess I will do an update on The Challenge every month, and I will do it like this:
This product is gone.
This product I used this month.
This product I didn't use this month.
Not a too hard system, now is it?

That's it for this post, maybe I'll do some more posts today because I haven't posted for such a long time. And I'm bored.

Livin' the Swedish life

Hi!

Sorry for the extremely long time of postlessness, but well, I was moving. To Sweden. So, yeah..
Well, as you may have noticed while reading this, that I have my internet connection back, yay!
It's just too bad that it is rather slow and that I have to share it with 4 other people, AND that this will stay this way for the following 9 months, due to stupid laws here...
Oh well, I will just have to live with it ^^

It is really beautifull here in Sweden, there is a lot of snow, yet it is not as cold as I had expected, which is a good thing because I hate cold, it actually is rather comfortable here, when the sun shines, it is warm! That's really awesome right? I always wanted to be able to walk through the snow without having my fingers frozen off =)

Our house is really nice, it is bigger than our former house, and it has very many rooms! When I have time I will take a few pictures, so you at least have some sort of image.

I don't go to school yet, as I first have to be able to speak Swedish, otherwise going to school is rather useless!

There isn't much to tell furthermore... Nothing major happened, you see?
When something does happen, I will tell you.
Promise!

Teeny tiny 3 2 go update, and some random stuff as well (as usual.)

Ok, my update:
The body butter: Done!
The shampoo: May still take a while
The shower gel/bubble bath thing: about 1 tenth left, and I will finish it this week.

I don't really know what to replace the body butter with, and as there are a lot of things going on with our emigration I don't really feel like caring about something as minor as that, as I already have enoughon my mind.

About the whole emigration: Everything is going great! Almost all boxes are packed with our stuff, the furniture we have taken apart, and the house is rather empty. Also, my Swedish is starting to stay in my head for a time longer than 15 minutes! Watch this: Hej, jag heter Eva och jag är fodd i Arnhem.
It means: Hi, my name's Eva and I was born in Arnhem
Awesome right?

Anyway... Today I had a break from the whole moving thing, and I went to Den Bosch with a friend. It was great, and ofcourse I had to go to the Lush store and bought...
- Butterball (for bathing)
- The Ex-Factor (for bathing as well)
- Each Peach (and Two's a Pair) (a massage bar/body lotion)
- Soft Coeur (another massage bar/body lotion)
- 2 tins to keep the massage bars in without having them melt all over everything I own

Also, I got two testers from the cashier:
Ultrabland, which is used to remove makeup with, and Charlotte's Island, which is like a self-tanning bodylotion, but the good thing about it is that you can rinse it off in the shower, so when you have used too much or something like that, it's no big deal. That's really handy for people as clumsy as I ^^

Luckily I had some money left after this lushious list (see what I did there? Lush... lushious... lush ious... ok, so it isn't funny. I tried.), so we went to the V&D shop, home to the Sephora! There, I bought 2 full-size O.P.I. nail polishes: one is called Ski Teal We Drop, which is a beautifull.. well.. teal, and the other one is a rather special polish, it's a matte black and it shatters! So you have to have a base color, pink for example, and then you put one layer of Black Shatter on top of it, this laquer shrinks or something, and this way it cracks, so you see the base color, it's really special and very awesome!

Then we went home and now I'm really tired so I guess I'll take a lushious bath (ok I admit: I really though it was funny.)

This was probably the last post in January, as tomorrow I'll be finishing packing, Monday we will go to Amsterdam because our plane on Tuesday is very early, so we don't want to risk being late due to traffic trouble.

Thanks for reading my blog everyone, I really appreciate it ^^

My favorite nailpolishes of 2010

Hi!
Long time no post right?
Well, probably you're used to this by now ^^
This article will be on my favorite nailpolishes of 2010. Just a list of the polishes I used most often, no pictures as I'm really tired and lazy so I don't want to swatch everything and stuff like that...
Here are my favorites:
Spring/summer:
Casuelle?
No number on this color, but it is a hot hot hot pink, and it has these teeny tiny glitters in it, very pretty! It is one of the brightest colors I own. It is an awesome color, and I got many compliments wearing this polish.
Paris Memories 260
This is a creamy pastel purple polish, and with pastel I mean the softest type of purple I know. It is a very sweet and innocent color, and I could always wear it, also it works out great when you use this for nail art.
Paris Memories 259
A really light gray. Can´t say a lot about this beauty, it has made the same impression on me as the laquer mentioned above.
Astor Laque Deluxe 616 purple dream
This color is exactely what you would think of when you think about a purple dream: a light purple, with many mini glitters, and very wearable.
Cassy by Casuelle
This is just summer in a bottle! Well, not in the bottle. In the bottle, it looks more like a kind of old pink with a golden sheen, but on your nails it's just a golden polish with a pink base, really pretty!

Autumn/winter:
Herôme Johannesburg 72
This is a kind of creamy chocolate brown color. Actually I'm wearing it right now! With a matte topcoat, that is. This is another versatile laquer, and it will always look pretty and sophisticated!
Paris Memories ?
Remember summer in a bottle? Well, this is christmas in a bottle! Sparkly christmas red, and just perfect ^^
L'oreal 118
This is a kind of coral colored polish, which lasts for at least a week, which I really like, as I tend to wear a polish for about a week due to laziness (a) It was exactly the same color as a cardigan I own, and as I like matching things, this was a great catch!
Color Cosmetic 09
Dawn-ish blue. Not midnight blue, but midnight with a touch of the morning sun. Poetic, huh? ^^
Rimmer 350 goldspun coral
This color is old pink, with loads of really small golden glitters, perfect! This one I wore a lot in the autumn.

And then, I ofcourse have my ultimate 2010 favorite.....
O.P.I Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous
I haven't had this polish for very long, in fact I believe I got this not even 2 months ago, but it's my 2010 favorite. It's black/grey, with glitters, kind of holo, and it look really awesome matte or shiny. THE perfect color. Totally adore this one ^^

Got to love nailpolish, right? ;-)

dinsdag 4 januari 2011

I went shopping yesterday...

... and came home with just 4 things, no clothes, but things I have wanted to buy for a very long time...

The first thing I bought, is an iPod Touch! I've wanted to buy this for ages now, and I promised myself that I could buy it in 2011, so no waiting, first opportunity I bought it, and I love it! It's great, the sound is very good, you can do pretty much everything you want to do with it! (exept texting, but that's what my phone is for, right?)

All the pictures in this article are made with my iPod, just so you know ^^

The next thing  I got was an Invito bag!

You can't really see it on the picture, but it's quite a big bag! I don't really mind though, I like having enough space so I can take all of my junk with me to school ^^

The next thing I got, was a huuuuge bottle of The Body Shop shower gel the pink grapefruit version. There is this limited edition action thingy, where you can get very big bottles of showergel and really huge jars of bodybutter, the showergel costing €9,- for 750 ml, and the bodybutter €18,- for... I don't know... All I know is that it's cheap, and that you should try scoring some before this action is done! =D
This is the bottle:
Huge, right? Right.

The last thing I took home with me on this small shopping tour (which was intentionally meant to be about 1 hour, so I did a good job in buying what I needed I guess ^^), was an awesome pink USB-stick, 8 GB, just for school and pictures and stuff.. so yeah... Well, I'm still going to share the picture, as it's PINK!
I say: pictureworthy!

That's it, not that much, but still though I should share this with you guys!
